Why are so many games started with: "The future in your hands!" don't screw it up.

Funcom's on - line game was officially launched on June 27 th of this year. An online multi player role - playing game.

On the desert planet of Rubi-Ka, the story set almost 30,000 years into the future, in a
science - fiction world centers on two factions: the powerful corporate entity Omni - Tek and the Clans, a group of rebels set on exposing Omni - Tek as the evil, faceless corporation they believe it to be. The games theme is designed to push both sides toward a full - scale war for domination of the planet. When Players can create a character, by choosing either Omni - Tek or the Clans, or they can choose to remain neutral.

Character are completely creation in the game in a kind of laboratory - like level. Players choose a class and then moving on to a second lab to choose a face and body type. Then to a third lab to choose a name, and finally to the exit area, where the player will choose which faction, if either, to align with. This kind of character creation is a small but nice touch that immediately sets the game apart from its peers.

Players choose one of four race and class to play. The player has many faces to choose from, and you can choose from one of twelve professions. Character can be given physical characteristics of being taller or shorter and fatter or thinner. Some of the professions bear an uncanny resemblance to EverQuest counterparts. The Agent, the class I chose to play, is very similar to the Rogue or Thief class. The Martial Artist resembles the monk. And the Engineer is AO's answer to the Necromancer with its use of a pet -- in AO's case, a robot instead of the undead.

Game Summary

Anarchy Online game looks fantastic. A very best - looking massively multiplayer online game currently available. No other such game's graphics even come close. Even though the game's system requirements are steeper than those of other games that preceded it. Anarchy Online looks great at the lowest resolution of 640x480 in 16-bit color. In high resolutions the graphics looks superb. Anarchy Online is the first online role - playing game to use a science- fiction setting, and not a common medieval fantasy setting. The graphics reflect a well defined setting. In this futuristic environments care is given to excellent detail, and attractive well designed enough to truly make you feel as though your character is exploring an entirely different world.

Anarchy characters are even better than the game's environments; you can create a character from four different races, different genders (three of the game's races have male and female
varieties; the fourth is neuter), different heights, different builds, and a great variety of extremely interesting character faces. What's more, you can thoroughly distinguish and customize your characters' appearances with the game's many futuristic and conventional
weapons and armor, as well as clothe your characters with any of the game's hundreds of fashion accessories, including leather trench coats, sunglasses, dress shoes, high-heeled boots, medical uniforms, swimsuits, and much, much more. As if that weren't enough, Anarchy Online features a whole slew of expressive motion-captured gesture animations that truly help you bring your character to life.
