Full of useful features a valuable upgrade from version 4. If your looking to create your own duplication of another disc, or burn for cross platform, or need another bootable disc, or have the opportunity to burn multiple sessions to one disc and more than this program is for you. Anyone who owns a CD-R and CD-RW Burners will want to upgrade to 5 for the Mac. Next week Burner software for Windows here

Version 4 allowed it and so does five to burn while you do something else on your computer. This version includes some functionality from their discontinued Toast DVD. What this means is that you can use it with DVD - RAM, DVD - R, and DVD - RW drives, even those found in the new Macs. Toast will recognize many CD-R and CD-RW as well as Digital Linear Tape (DLT) back up drives.

Drag and drop is supported, just drop it on the button required. Select from the Data button, Audio button, Copy button and the other button. Toast will indicate file size and the icon. With Audio MP3 files are converted to standard for CD players (16 bit, 44kHz, stereo) Also will burn either AIFF or WAV files directly to a CD. Toast comes with utilities for cleaning up sounds on old LP records and you can record analog audio to your computer.

Video or VCD in the 320 x 240 pixel range. A built in MPEG - 1 decoder the same technology found in more expensive software like Cleaner 5. with this software you can create your own quick time, imovie, and VCD. The process however is very slow but available.

This is a powerful software package which include burning for audio, video and data. Enough goodies here to satisfy all you burning needs and future needs.
