C- 4040 the new including the Super bright f1.8, 3x all- glass a spherical zoom lens is able to capture shots during low lighted areas.This is a 5-Megapixel CCD camera which produce an excellent high quality pictures. The cameras' all-magnesium body provides durability and a comfortable hold. By using the LCD screen on the back lets you capture overhead, low - angle, and other usually difficult shots. The camera is completely automatic or  you can use the manual setting to fit your own preference and have them saved so that you can use them each time the camera is turned on. New to this model are four scene program modes which make it easy to setup a shot in Sports, Night scene, Portrait and Landscape. A new media is supported which is the xD-Picture Card. Other media that is supported is the: SmartMedia, CompactFlash type I or II, and 512MB/1GB IBM.

Auto- Connect is USB computer compatible. All you need to do is connect the camera to the computer by the supplied cable and that is it. When the camera is in view mode a untitled folder will show up on the computer desk top. Also is compatible with Windows XP and Mac OSX.

The C-5050 has a TTL hot shoe which can except an external flash (FL-40 flash ) which cost just under $500.00 in Canadian money.
