Prefilter - catches larger
particles like hair, fur, dust balls,
and other things that float into the pre-filter. Never needs to
be replaced,
but regular cleaning as guided in the SHARP manual is an asset.
Carbon Filter - Takes
odours and other impurities from the air. Some of our tests included:
we tried air freshener, alcohol cleaning towels, dog odour, people
odour,
can smell, burning the content in a pot, bathroom odours, and
nice smells like:
coffee, hot chocolate, and macaroni and cheese cooked.
It can be good used in a car garage especially if you work in
their as well.
Needs to be replaced every "FIVE" (5) years and
regular cleaning as guided in the SHARP manual is an asset.
True Hepa Filter - Is
the last defence and collects air borne particles,
that are as small as 0.3 microns. It catches everything except
gases and odours.
